Not rigid like on a bicycle or other Ferris wheels. That tremendously lightened the structure making it cheaper to build and easier to operate. Brilliant I've never seen anything like it. Firstly, the Singapore Flyer (at 165m) is going to be 30m higher than the London Eye (at 135m). Secondly, there are plenty of other ferris wheels around. The Great Beijing Wheel (at 208m) is going to be the tallest of the lot come 2008 (for the Beijing 2008 Olympics).
